TRY AND REMEMBER

Tonight Is The Night You Have Waited For
The Year Is At It's End.
So Now You Prepare To Celebrate
And See The New One In.

There Are So Many Wonderful Places To Go
And Exciting Sights To See.
You Think Of The Good Times You Will Have
And How Good The Next Year Will Be.

Stop And Take A Moment Though
To Reflect On Memories In Your Mind.
Memories Of Every Shape And Form
Of The Year That Is Left Behind.

It Is Lying Lonely Now
Awaiting Only Death.
Saying Farewell To All It's Known
As It Approaches It's Final Breath.

Once It Lived And Flourished
And Had It's Moments Great.
Now It Is Lying Motionless
As It Faces It's Forefathers Fate.

You Ask How A Year Lives And Breathes
And Feels As People Do.
Don't You See This Year You've Lived
Is Now A Part Of You.

It Lived And Breathed As You Did
It Has Been Part Of Your Life.
It May Have Brought You Happiness
Or Love, Or Wealth Or Strife.

It May Of Helped You Find Out Who You Are
Or Just Seem To Pass You By.
It May Have Dealt A Crushing Blow
Or Helped You Reach The Sky.

Just Realize This Year Almost Gone
Is Part Of Who You Are,
And If You Hadn't Had It's Company
You Would Have Never Come This Far.

So As Your Waiting For It's End
Through The Ravelry And Cheer
Give A Few Silent Moments Of Thought
For The End Of A Memorable Year.
